Footer coat

Washing

Usually, about 80% of the footer coat texture is made of wool, and the rest are synthetic and inorganic fibres such as polyester or lycra. So, it isn’t easy to wash coats. Failure to take care of it during washing will cause the coat fibres to become pelleted and fluffy or the fabric to shorten. To wash the footer coat, you must:

  1. If there’s a stain on the footer coat, it’s necessary to remove the stain before washing. To do this, carefully choose the appropriate stain and detergent method based on the type of stain.
  2. The best and safest way to wash a footer coat is by hand. Detergents containing enzymes reduce the texture quality of this type of clothing. The footer coat is sensitive to high water temperatures and high-speed washing with detergent. Ignoring these points will make the clothes shrink. To wash the coat by hand, fill your sink with cold water and add the right amount of washing liquid. Dip all parts of the coat in water and detergent. After 30 minutes of soaking the clothes, gently wash them with cold water.
  3. If you use a washing machine to wash your coat, don’t place it at high speed in any way and make sure that the water temperature is low. Note that you should place the laundry in the washing mode of woollen or sensitive clothes. Remove the clothes from the washing machine immediately after finishing.
  4. When washing the footer coat, don’t worry about discolouration. These fabrics remove excess dyes easily; But in the end, it doesn’t hurt the appearance of the clothes.

Drying

  1.  It’s better to spread the coat on a large towel or wrap the towel around the coat to remove excess water.
  2. Use the open air to dry the footer coat; But don’t expose it to direct sunlight in any way.
  3. Don’t hang the footer coat while drying.
  4. If using a dryer or iron, set it to the lowest possible temperature and iron the garment from the inside.

Fur coats

Washing

  1. It’s convenient to use a washing machine to wash a fur coat. Just turn the clothes upside down and gently place them in the washing machine. Set the device mode to wash sensitive clothes. Note that the water temperature shouldn’t be high. Avoid placing the device at high speed.
  2. It’s better not to wash the fur coat more than 2 times in each season.

  2. By wrapping the clothes around the towel, you can remove the excess water.
  3. After washing, upside down the clothes again and place them in the open air to dry.

Woollen coat

Washing a wool coat is very similar to footer coats. They require low water temperature, low washing speed and suitable detergents. If the wool fibre of your coat is over 80%, it’s recommended to leave it to professional dry cleaners.

  1. Before washing a wool coat, it’s necessary to use a suitable brush and pull it from top to bottom on the garment.
  2. If there are stains on clothes, choose the appropriate way to remove them according to the type of stain.
  3. If you want to wash clothes in the washing machine, turn them upside down and put them in a suitable washing bag. Then put it in the washing machine. Almost all washing machines can be set to woollen washing mode. After 30 minutes, remove the coat from the washing machine.
  4. Don’t wash your coat more than once during each season.

Drying

  1. After washing, turn it over and place it on top in the open air.
  2. Use a towel to get extra water.
  3. Don’t hang them when drying. Place them on a flat surface so that it doesn’t deform.
  4. The best way to get rid of wrinkles in a wool coat is to wash it and put it in a bath with a hot shower. Therefore, it’s better to do part of drying in the bathroom.

Leather coat

Washing

Washing leather coats with a washing machine isn’t recommended at all. Because it can damage the leather surface of the coat, crack it, shrink the garment and cause irreversible damage to your garment. Even washing leather coats manually is different from washing other coats. To clean your leather coat, you can:

  1. Use sprays for cleaning leather clothes.
  2. Prepare a solution of warm (not hot) water and a suitable detergent. Dip a soft sponge or towel into the solution. Be sure to soak up excess water on a sponge or towel and let it just soak because leather coats shouldn’t be saturated with water and detergent. Now, with slow and gradual movements, pull it on the clothes. Finally, dip another soft towel in clean water and rub it on the same areas again to remove the detergent.
  3.  If your leather coat has oil stains, use baking soda or cornstarch. Spray it on the stain and apply it with a damp cloth. Repeat this method overnight again with a damp cloth. Then use a dry cloth to help absorb excess moisture.
  4. A nail polish remover pad has a great effect on removing ink stains on leather. But don’t put it on the stain. Just tap the area lightly with a pad a few times. Then wipe the area with a damp cloth and finally use a dry cloth.
  5. Toothpaste and diluted alcohol are among the most effective ingredients for removing all kinds of stains and mould on a leather coat. Be sure to use toothpaste the size of your fingertips. So you don’t damage the leather. If you use alcohol, be sure to mix it with the right amount of water. Never use these ingredients at the same time.
  6. Only wash leather thoroughly when you have no other way to get rid of the dirt or bad smell. Also, note that washing leather is only possible if it’s natural. To wash them by hand, it’s necessary to use very mild detergents and lukewarm water. After filling the sink, insert the coat completely in and out a few times. Let your clothes stay in the solution for 10 minutes. Then take it out and rinse. Washing synthetic or shiny leather coats is not recommended at all.

Drying

  1. If you have to wash the leather coat completely, you have to be patient to dry it. Under no circumstances should you use sunlight or other heating devices to dry.
  2. Don’t fold them. Allow the water to drain gradually.
  3. You can hang them from a suitable hanger that doesn’t leave a trace on the clothes and place them in the open air to dry.
