Now be sure to rinse the area with a damp cloth to remove any soapy residue.
• If these materials remain on the surface of the carpet, it will cause more dirty particles to be absorbed by the carpet. If necessary, repeat the staining steps so that no trace of shoe polish remains. After these steps, allow the carpet to dry in the open air away from heat or direct sunlight. When done, vacuum the carpet to allow the lint and compressed fibres to return to their previous state.
