Bleach

If the stain has deepened, first look carefully at the label on the back of the garment to see if you can use bleach to clean it. If it’s possible for your clothes, dilute the bleach with a little water and pour it on the clothes stain. Wait 15 minutes, it will remove the stain very quickly. Finally, wash them with a regular wash cycle in the washing machine. Be careful not to throw bleach-sensitive clothes with them.

Removing iron marks from different fabrics

velvet cloth

Use oxygenated water or onion to remove the iron marks from the velvet cloth:

• Mix half a cup of hydrogen peroxide with half a cup of water.
• Put the stained part in oxygenated water or spray on it. The area should be completely wet.
• Then peel an onion and put it on the shiny mark.
• The iron stain must be completely covered with onion juice for 3 to 4 hours.
• After this time, remove the onion and wash the clothes.

White cloth

Use oxygenated water to remove the iron marks from the white cloth:

• Dip a piece of white cloth into oxygenated water
• Put it on the shiny part of the dress
• Then iron.
• Do this until the shin on the white dress is completely gone.

Crepe fabric

Removing iron marks from crepe fabric can be done in a very simple way with a natural solution such as vinegar:

• Dip a white cloth into the vinegar and squeeze the juice out.
• Place the back of the crepe cloth on the ironing board.
• Apply the vinegar-soaked cloth on the shiny part of it.
• Put the steam iron on top of the stain so that steam is blown on it, without the vinegar-soaked cloth coming in contact with the iron. The fabric absorbs steam.
• Then turn the garment upside down and rub the shiny mark part on each other or use a soft brush and apply it on it. The fibres will return to the first state.

Tip: When ironing black clothes, it’s better not to use high-temperature ironing and turn the clothes or fabric upside down. Then put a cotton cloth on it and iron it with gentle heat. In this case, your black dress will never have a trace of ironing.

Woven clothes

To remove the iron from clothes made of synthetic fibres, such as knitted and woollen clothes, you must:

• Mix half a litre of water with one and a half tablespoons of ammonia.
• Then dip a soft towel in the solution and gently pull it along the length of the cloth on the shiny mark area.

Silk Cloth

You must use ammonia to remove the iron mark from the silk cloth. It’s enough that:

• Mix half a tablespoon of ammonia with 4 tablespoons of alcohol.
• Gently rub the solution with a clean sponge on the shiny part area of ​​the cloth.

Never use vinegar to remove iron from silk cloth.

Preventing shiny marks on the fabric during ironing

• Use the right temperature for the fabric ironing.
• Iron the clothes upside down.
• Put a damp white cotton cloth on the clothes and then start ironing. Try not to place the iron directly on the clothes.
• Don’t put the iron on your clothes for a long time.
